Raphael Liy (he/him) is a photographer and Congressional Digital Manager based in Washington, D.C. His photography focuses on American politics, grassroots movements, and capturing candid, intimate moments.
 

Born in Miami, Florida, Raphael is a first-generation American who balanced working full-time as a janitor during the day and attending university at night. In between, he would find time to capture his surroundings and create opportunities for photographing a range of subjects. Raphael now works as a Digital Manager in the United States House of Representatives, photographing Members of Congress, foreign dignitaries, committees, protests, and everything in between.
 

Raphael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. He is also an academic mentor for the SigmaC@T Robotics team based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
